Christianity at Weare
Weare Academy First School is a Church School and there is a strong link to the local United Parish of Crook Peak and especially to St Gregory’s Church in Weare. Our friend Gary Orriss (Lay Minister in Crook Peak Parish) is a familiar sight to staff and children. He is in school to take regular assemblies and leads termly and seasonal services in St Gregory’s Church.

Informal Morning Worship
A short informal service at 10am on the 3rd Sunday every month. Usually led by Gary Orriss, this service alternates between Loxton and Biddisham Church. Come and find a gentle introduction to the bible and its meaning in our lives.
Children and families are welcome in all our services. In Weare Church there is a toy corner. This is free for anyone to use anytime, feel free to pop in with your toddler or during the school holidays.
There is a toilet and nappy changing table in the Church room, which is open during services. Compton Bishop, Biddisham and Christon churches have a toilet sited in the church grounds. Buggies can be easily accommodated in Weare and Compton Bishop. The other churches all have porches you can leave a buggy in, but manoeuvrability inside the buildings is limited
Praise and Worship Service
An informal Praise and Worship Service for all the Family. This is on the 1st Sunday of the month in St Gregory’s Church at 10am and is normally led by Gary Orriss. We want to make your children’s time in church a happy one. We love children participating with their drawings and crafts and joining in the fun with our box of percussion instruments, whatever their rhythm!
